Turrell in Canberra

James Turrell’s Skyspace in Australia stunned me. I’d never experienced, in a 3-D environment - a manmade physical place - an atmosphere that embodies the formal elements I explore in my own art. Turrell used light, color, spatial relationships and the interconnection between inside and outside. I took many dozens of reference photographs to remember this magical place.
